TheEditingGirl <3

This is why I love WordPress a little more each day. It’s given me amazing opportunities as I’ve mentioned earlier, it’s helped me express and find myself and last but not least, I’m getting to know great people.

TheEditingGirl is one of them. She’s the one I’ve interacted with the most through comments and later, emails. I really enjoyed her posts and I figured she liked mine also. Plus we had so many things in common like the music we liked and other stuff. So I thought “Hey! Why not write a collaborative post?” And that’s what we’ve been working on recently. We had so many thoughts and ideas that along with excitement made us consider the idea of writing several posts together. And… that’s what we’re doing. But I won’t tell you anymore because I don’t want to spoil the posts for you! They’re definitely something you should be looking forward to, as they might require your participation. 😉

Anyhow, this girl has a unique way of thinking and that really shows through her posts. She also lives life to the fullest, like literally. By sharing with us some of her stories, she gives us a little piece of herself, but even if it’s little, it’s really valuable. She has a beautiful insight into people and life itself. Her blog is so worth your time. Click here to go to her blog.

Inspiration- Solution to negative thoughts and attitude towards a tough situation

Here I’ll post some stuff that I found particularly inspirational to change the way I see and feel during something that’s a challenge to me. I hope this inspires you too 🙂

1) A little poem I came across today during drama class! Not because we were meant to read it or anything. It was on a table and I decided to pick it up and read it. I’m glad I did. These small things can make your day. Anyway, it is a great read if you’re having a tough time. It’s very inspiring and will definitely change your attitude towards whatever it is that’s bringing your mood down.

“Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.”

2) Advice. This comes from experience, not that I had that much considering that I’ve only lived for 14 years.
-Act positive until you become positive
-Take pride in your strength
-Get your mind thinking about other things!
– Don’t kill yourself with depressing music or things that you know will make you feel worse. Reward youself. Do things you like. Love yourself, take care of yourself and make yourself feel better!
-Start seeing the other good things to your life and appreciating them. Your family, friends, everything! You’re alive! Make the best out of it.

3) Music. As I said before, don’t kill yourself with depressing music. There’s no use. How about you listen to a happy song or a funny one? Uhh songs by The Lonely Island, maybe?

4) Others. Life should revolve around other people. Otherwise, it becomes pointless. Do things for others! It’ll make you feel good about yourself.

That’s it. I hope you guys found this sort of helpful and got some inspiration. Give me some feedback. Comment if you like things like this! Make me feel happy. 😀 See you soon!

Boston Bombing

Here’s a link if you’re curious about the bombing and want to know more about it: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/2013/04/boston-marathon-explosions-day-two/64261/

In this post, I want to express all my thoughts, condolences, and prayers to all of the victims in the bombing. I’m sure they were great people and nobody deserves going through such a thing. For now, all I wish is for them to rest in peace.

To all the ones who were lucky to survive, I hope you recover as soon as possible. Keep a smile on your face, things will go back to normal.

This post is also dedicated to the families of the victims. I’m really sorry for your loss. Stay strong. I know it’s not easy, but you have to, for your other family members as well as for your country. Give it time and everything will get better. Right now, I wish I could have a better piece of advice to give you.

My heart goes out to all of you, victims or families’ victims; everybody. Thank you for staying strong and being an example to us all.

Condemnation

I read this entry about judging people, and well I’m not going to tell you anymore about its content cause I don’t want to spoil your reading. My best friend Kai wrote this and I’m loving the message, so why not share it with you guys? It’s called condemnation and you can press on the hyperlinked word to read it. 🙂 Have a good day everyone!

16.1.13-Thank you

Hello everyone! So, today I want to thank someone. This would be Kai, a friend of mine. What am I saying a friend of mine? She’s my best friend. I’ve known her for four years now. I’ve seen her change and I have to admit, I’m happy and proud to see what she’s become. She’s amazing, simply amazing and I don’t think I have to go through the details cause she knows them herself and she knows I know them. Anyway, this is not about how great and amazing person she is, because then this post wouldn’t have an end nor a start. I want to thank her for being a true friend. It’s not about how much fun we can have together or whatever, even though she’s fun to be with too (hehe). It’s that hand that pulls me up when I fall, that push to lead me in the right direction, simply everything. I don’t have enough words for her. We have the strongest bond I’ve ever had with someone. With her, I’ve made mistakes, learnt, cried, smiled, laugh… Even if we’ve had issues in the past, right now we have the bestest friendship one could ask for. One of secrets, trust, openness, and loyalty. Everywhere and Everyday.   Basically, Kai I want to thank you for being you and for being there. I want you to know that I love you and that I really really care for you, even if I don’t show it as much. Thank you Kai. 🙂

Sorrow

I. And all day, I sit and scream,
trying drown myself in the stream
of endless thought and endless dream,
Someone come and rescue me.

II. Drown your sorrows in the stream
of endless thought and endless dream,
Reign on top in a shining boat
Watch them sink and try to float.
P.S. I didn’t write this piece, but my friend Kairavi Sarup wrote it and I thought it was worth posting.
